Baghdad To Stockholm

Description

الشرح

In 2007, the Swedish immigration authorities declared that the situation in Iraq is no longer an armed conflict, and therefore, it was appropriate to send Iraqi citizens back to their original country. This decision resulted in the deportation process of vast numbers of Iraqi refugees amid protests, and criticism from human rights groups and major safety concerns expressed by the United Nations.

‘Baghdad to Stockholm’ captures the experiences that many Iraqis living in Sweden at the time went through, and the repercussions that this decision had on their personal lives and that of those around them.
